Position Overview

We’re looking for a Junior NOC Engineer to join our team!

As a key member of the Network Operations Center (NOC), the Junior NOC Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining the health and performance of our infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for real-time monitoring, issue resolution, and operational support to ensure uptime and system reliability across our global services.

Key Responsibilities

  • 24/7 Operations Support: Work in a rotating shift schedule to support continuous monitoring and incident response for staging and production systems.
  • Incident Detection & Troubleshooting: Proactively identify issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent future recurrence.
  • System Monitoring & Improvements: Continuously enhance monitoring tools and practices to ensure timely detection of performance or application issues.
  • Issue Resolution & Escalation: Drive rapid resolution through structured troubleshooting methods and act as an escalation point for operations support.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Development, Platform, and third-line support teams to share knowledge and streamline incident management.
  • Release Participation: Assist in the preparation and execution of regular software releases, ensuring system stability throughout the deployment process.
  • Stakeholder Support: Act as a point of contact for developers, providing assistance on application and infrastructure-related queries.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date documentation of processes, incident reports, and system configurations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in NOC operations or application monitoring roles
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with Linux systems and general IT infrastructure
  • Proficient in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Zabbix, Grafana, Splunk (Dynatrace and Cloudflare are a plus)
  • Excellent communication, time management, and documentation skills
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively under pressure in a team environment
  • Familiarity with scripting or coding practices is a bonus
