Our client is a leading insurance group with over 110 years of experience managing workers’ insurance and compensation claims. They partner with employers, medical providers, and industry stakeholders to deliver market-leading return-to-work outcomes and safe work initiatives.
As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an Junior Accountant to join their Manila-based team on a hybrid work setup. As an Intermediate Accountant, you will ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting, particularly APRA requirements, by applying strong accounting and business knowledge. The role also supports the Finance Team Lead in process improvements and team initiatives.
The position follows a hybrid schedule, with two days onsite and three days working from home. The role is based in BGC, Taguig, with work hours from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM PHT.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare moderately complex reports to meet government and company reporting rules.
- Perform regular reconciliations to make sure financial records are accurate and up to date.
- Review and explain variances between reports and underlying data.
- Keep checklists, reports, and supporting documents organized and ready for review.
- Work with finance teams, auditors, and regulators to resolve reporting issues.
- Follow clear procedures and help update reporting guidelines when needed.
- Support accuracy checks and help maintain good internal controls.
- Suggest ways to improve reporting tools, templates, or processes.
- Contribute to team projects and collaborate with the Sydney finance team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or similar qualification is a plus).
- Around 1–3 years of experience in finance or reporting roles, ideally with some exposure to insurance, auditing, or shared services.
- Experience in preparing regulatory reports, doing reconciliations, and reviewing variances.
- Comfortable using ERP systems (Workday experience a bonus) and confident with Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well with teams and auditors.
