The Role
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused IT Support Specialist Level 1 to join our IT team. In this entry-level role, you'll be responsible for providing first-line technical support to our internal users, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your IT skills while delivering exceptional service to end users.
What You'll Do- Provide First-Level Support: Act as the first point of contact for employees experiencing IT-related issues, assisting with troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
- Troubleshoot & Resolve Issues: Diagnose and resolve common issues such as password resets, network connectivity, and software installations.
- Hardware & Software Setup: Assist with the installation, configuration, and basic troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Ticket Management: Log, categorize, and prioritize incoming support requests using the IT service management system (ITSM) and track them through resolution.
- User Support & Guidance: Provide clear instructions and troubleshooting steps to end users, ensuring a positive experience.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of issues, solutions, and any follow-up actions in the support database. Contribute to the knowledge base to streamline future support requests.
- Collaboration: Work with other IT team members to resolve more complex issues and support IT projects.
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. An Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in an IT support or help desk role is desirable but not required.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Understanding of common networking concepts (IP addresses, routers, Wi-Fi).
