Investment Policy Analyst - Principal Consultant

Position Description

Job Overview

We are currently seeking an Investment Policy Analyst to join our Back-Office Operations team. Working with CI Global Asset Management (CI GAM) as a client, the Analyst will support CI GAM’s high-net-worth product lines and will be responsible for creating analytics for advisors and their clients. Responsibilities also include processing adjustments to high-net-worth accounts resulting from internal or external errors.

Education & Certifications

• Post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline (required)
• Completion of the IFIC or Canadian Securities Course (considered an asset)
• CFA designation or CFA candidate/graduate (strong asset)
  
  

Experience & Knowledge

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an analytical or financial services role (asset)
• Strong understanding of mutual funds, capital gains, fund compensation, and investment account operations (asset)
• Familiarity with financial industry processes, including plan types, tax rules, and trade types (asset)
  
  

Skills & Competencies

• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in data analysis and reconciliation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide remediation recommendations
• Ability to conduct comparative financial analyses (e.g., market value comparisons, fund compensation estimates, capital gain projections)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with advisors, colleagues, and internal stakeholders
• Skilled in identifying errors, assessing client impact, and supporting account adjustments with sound judgment
• Proven ability to contribute to quality control and continuous process improvement
