Job Description

The Instrumentation Technician is responsible for the implementation of all maintenance services of electrical instrumentation equipment to ensure the safety, reliability, availability and efficiency of all plant machineries and equipment.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

Maintenance and Calibration

• Performs immediate troubleshooting, monitoring of instrumentation devices and implements corrective action during the shift to resolve emergency downtime, production delays, and quality issues, minimizing impact on operational targets.
• Provides recommendations and action plans to optimize routine repairs and major maintenance work, leading to more efficient and sustainable maintenance procedures.
• Performs calibration of plant control and measuring equipment as needed, under the supervision of the calibrator, to ensure that all devices remain reliable, accurate, and compliant with required standards.
• Maintains accurate maintenance logs and documentation for instruments.
  
  

Condition-based Monitoring

• Performs routine inspections and maintenance on instrumentation and control systems.
• Monitors instrument performance and reports abnormalities to the Reliability Engineer.
  
  

Spare Parts Monitoring

• Coordinate with Instrumentation and Process Control Specialist, Maintenance Planners, and supervisors to identify, recommend, and procure necessary materials to ensure availability of materials.
  
  

Improvement Projects

• Provide support to Instrumentation and Process Control Specialist and supervisor in design and implementation of instrumentation related improvement initiatives.
• Implements improvement projects ensuring that these are in accordance with project specifications and applicable standards.
• Performs electrical/instrumentation installations ensuring safety and efficiency and that specifications are met.
  
  

Other Tasks

• Assist in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all engineering files, records and reports in the existing management system.
• Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management etc.
• Attends to night calls and other maintenance emergencies as the need arises.
• Performs related work as may be assigned by the immediate superior.
  
  

Food Safety

• Complies with quality, Halal, health and food safety policy, standards and regulations of the company.
• Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety & quality management system to identified authorities.
  
  

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of Industrial automation and Mechatronics (BS-IAM) or Engineering equivalent
  
  

Experience

• At least one (1) year
  
  

License/s

• NC2 in Mechatronics
