Instructor I - Physics

Position Summary: The Instructor I for Physics will teach undergraduate courses in physics, covering topics such as classical mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and modern physics. The instructor will design course materials, deliver lectures, lead laboratory sessions, and assess student performance. A strong commitment to teaching and the ability to make complex physics concepts clear and engaging for students are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate physics courses, including both theoretical and laboratory components.
• Develop, update, and deliver course materials such as syllabi, lectures, and lab activities.
• Conduct and supervise laboratory experiments to enhance practical understanding of physics concepts.
• Assess and grade student assignments, exams, and lab reports.
• Provide academic guidance and support to students to promote their success.
• Stay current with advancements in physics to ensure up-to-date course content.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development and improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Strong understanding of core physics concepts and laboratory techniques.
• Prior teaching experience is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for teaching and helping students succeed academically.
