Instructor I - Computer Science

Position Summary: The Instructor I for Computer Science will teach undergraduate courses in the field of computer science, covering key subjects such as programming, data structures, algorithms, database management, software engineering, and web development. The instructor will create and deliver course materials, lead lab sessions, assess student performance, and provide academic support. The role requires a strong dedication to teaching and the ability to make complex computer science concepts accessible to students with diverse learning backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate courses in computer science, including theoretical and practical topics.
• Design, develop, and update course materials such as syllabi, lectures, and lab activities.
• Conduct practical laboratory sessions to complement theoretical instruction.
• Assess and grade assignments, projects, exams, and other student activities.
• Provide mentorship and academic support to students, fostering their technical and problem-solving skills.
• Stay updated with advancements in computer science and integrate them into the curriculum.
• Participate in departmental meetings and assist in curriculum development and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• CSC Professional and Sub-Professional Eligibility
