Instructor I - Computer Engineering

Position Summary: The Instructor I for Computer Engineering will teach undergraduate courses in computer engineering, focusing on topics such as digital systems design, microprocessors, embedded systems, computer architecture, and hardware-software integration. The instructor will develop course materials, deliver lectures and lab sessions, and assess student performance. This role requires a solid foundation in computer engineering concepts and the ability to effectively guide students through both theoretical and practical aspects of the discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate courses in computer engineering, including both theory and lab-based subjects.
• Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, lectures, and hands-on laboratory activities.
• Assess and grade student assignments, projects, exams, and other coursework.
• Supervise laboratory sessions and guide students through practical projects.
• Provide academic support and mentorship to students to foster their professional and technical growth.
• Keep current with industry trends and advancements in computer engineering.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proficiency in computer hardware and software integration, digital systems, and programming languages.
• Prior teaching experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to teaching excellence and student success.
