Your Role
At OpsWerks, learning goes beyond training—it shapes how we work, grow, and live our culture each day. As our Instructional Designer, you’ll create evidence-based learning experiences that bring our BVMM (Beliefs, Vision, Mission, Methods) to life.
You’ll turn business and behavioral goals into scalable, measurable learning products whether eLearning, VILT, blended programs, microlearning, or simulations designed to be inclusive, easy to consume, and impactful.
Beyond design, you’ll ensure our learning solutions are reliable in the LMS and effective in building capability and strengthening our culture.
Here, you won’t just create content—you’ll craft experiences that influence how our people work and grow.
- Transform ideas and storyboards into learner-ready assets, including SCORM/xAPI-compliant courses, job aids, and micro-learning modules.
- Ensure all learning products are clear, accessible, polished, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Manage the end-to-end development process: design, QA, publishing into the LMS, and post-launch improvements.
- Design engaging learning experiences with knowledge checks, bite-sized modules, and supportive job aids.
- Collaborate closely with SMEs and L&D teammates, running reviews and pilot tests to refine learning products.
- Incorporate feedback and iterate to continuously improve the learner experience.
Your Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in instructional design, content development, or Learning & Development operations.
- Proficiency with authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, or Captivate, and familiarity with LMS platforms (SCORM/xAPI).
- Strong writing and visual communication skills, with attention to detail in QA and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA compliance).
- Ability to balance creativity with consistency, ensuring learning materials meet high standards and learner needs.
- Exposure to learning operations, learning development programs, or compliance tools is a plus.
- LMS platform knowledge (Moodle, Docebo, or similar).
- Reporting and dashboarding (Excel, Google Sheets, built-in Microsoft tools).
