As an Insolvency accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing entities that are in various form of distress and assist with the financial recovery processes. Your responsibilities will include analysing financial data, assessing insolvency risks, and collaborating with legal and financial professionals. This is focused on Australian accounting concepts and training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply your accounting skills to maintain the ongoing operations of businesses
- Analyse cash flow projections, debt levels and creditor claims to assess the financial health of distressed
- entities
- Review financial statements, balance sheets and income statements to identify insolvency indicators
- Prepare and lodge reports with government bodies as well as other internal and external stakeholders
- Communicate effectively with clients, creditors and team members.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders in the legal and financial industry.
Non-negotiables
- Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major
- Or Law degree with interest in Insolvency
- 1-2 years in a similar role
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- CPA or equivalent
- Strong analytical skills
