Job Description
The person employed as the ICT Operations Infrastructure Specialist has the responsibility of providing quality support following standard operating procedures, of supporting our engineers and architects Global Infrastructure tower. In this role, they will be tasked with projects and requests that would otherwise occupy our engineering team"s time from performing and completing global initiatives and projects.
The Infrastructure Specialist also serves as part of our escalation team for our Service Desk, taking ticket escalations where applicable, and documenting the resolution for future reference of the team. They will be provided with extra access and privileges that would otherwise be limited to our engineers with which to monitor and maintain the infrastructure.
The Infrastructure Specialist is also expected to be on-call to take on P1 incidents to troubleshoot incidents, servers, or services, make repairs and get the system back up as quickly as possible, or based on collected information from troubleshooting and attempted fixes, to escalate to the appropriate engineering teams where or when necessary. This can require the technician to work at all hours of the day, depending on when the network disruption occurs.

Job Requirements
Details:
- Requires at least 3 to 4 years experience servicing and supporting physical and virtual server, services, software, hardware, repair, applications, and maintenance
- Primarily MS Windows Server OS + Intel architectures
- Active Directory+Azure/EntraID hybrid environment
- GPOs, Scripting and automation
- Aware and experienced with security considerations of user accounts
- Security and risk management standards, e.g., MFA, password management, etc.
- Hands-on experience with popular Hypervisors - HyperV, VMWare, Nutanix (desired)
- Familiar with managing open source VM technologies as well, e.g. Proxmox
- Familiar with micro services, containers, e.g. Kubernetes/K8
- Hands-on experience with backup techniques and technologies:
- Preferred product knowledge on Druva
- Able to understand, plan, implement backup and restoration methodologies
- Hands-on experience with software packaging and deployment:
- SCCM, Software Center
- Adaptiva is a plus
- Hands-on experience with monitoring technologies
- Zabbix preferred
- Able to develop strong relationships with technical peers, work in a face-paced and ever-changing 24x7 environment
- Work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays, along with extra hours as necessary
- English proficiency is a must, Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- In general, preferred ICT Hands-on experience
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work proactively in a team environment as well as independently
- Solid documentation skills
- Ability to search internally/externally for support information - also must be comfortable with recent AI tools (e.g. LLM)
- Team and customer-oriented attitude
- Outstanding attendance and schedule adherence
- Can learn and develop new skills on their own.
