The primary objective of this role specification is to outline the duties and responsibilities of the Network Infrastructure Delivery team. This document provides a clear and comprehensive understanding of the role expectations, aiding in performance evaluation and identifying areas for improvement and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis on network data to ensure optimal performance and reliability of network infrastructure.
  • Conduct network audits, including rack, device and patch panel audits, to maintain the integrity and reliability of network data.
  • Review and communicate audit results and associated risks to relevant stakeholders.
  • Review current rack diagrams, create necessary documentation, and update diagrams based on findings.
  • Audit device and rack configurations and provide support for mapping activities.
  • Execute tasks related to network infrastructure delivery in accordance with the project plan.
  • Carry out individual audit tasks, including determining audit objectives and identifying major risks.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional network teams to ensure on-time delivery of network infrastructure projects relevant the roadmap.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency across network systems.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, asset information, and asset mapping for network infrastructure.
  • Manage multiple work tasks effectively and contribute team efforts by achieving related results.
  • Monitor IPv4 capacity and handle allocation of network prefixes as needed.
  • Update DNS records as required.
  • Create requests for configuration changes and manage related documentation.
  • Handle circuit QA of recently activated turn up of the team.
  • Regularly create report and status of team’s update and audit.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience as a network engineer ideally from an ISP or Telco background.
  • Familiar with hardware component of network gears, routers, and switches.
  • Experience in Network Operations Centre, Network Engineering, or Advanced Services.
  • Data Center experience is essential.
  • Strong understanding of defining and controlling data records and generating business reports.
  • Proficiency with data management tools and database languages.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
  • Analytical background is required.

Good To Have

  • Network Certifications (CCNA/JNCIA/CCNP/JNCIS/NRS II)
  • Intermediate level knowledge on copper and fiber cable system.
  • Experience of working with carrier grade equipment from at least 2 of the following vendors – Juniper, Nokia, Arista and Cisco.
  • ITILv3, 6-sigma
