JOB DESCRIPTION
Employee & Labor Relations
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations and labor relations matters.
Provide guidance and support on workplace issues, disciplinary actions, grievances, and investigations.
Partner with leaders to proactively identify and address employee relations trends, risks, and opportunities.
Manage and maintain strong relationships with labor unions/worker councils, ensuring fair and consistent application of collective bargaining agreements.
Collaborate with legal counsel and HR leadership on sensitive ER/LR matters to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
Collaboration & Partnership
Work closely with managers, department heads, and business leaders to align HR practices with organizational goals.
Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits) to provide integrated HR solutions.
Partner with leaders on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design initiatives.
Provide coaching and training to managers on effective people management and conflict resolution.
Compliance & Policy Management
Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Review, update, and implement HR policies and practices related to employee and labor relations.
Develop communication strategies to effectively cascade policies and organizational changes.
Culture & Engagement
Support initiatives that drive employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Champion organizational values, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and collaboration.
Partner with leadership to promote a positive work environment and continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong focus on employee relations and labor relations.
Proven experience managing union relationships and collective bargaining agreements (if applicable).
Strong knowledge of local labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, build partnerships, and provide practical HR solutions.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
