At AskHR in Medtronic, our goal is to provide best-in-class employee experience, providing a standard level of care to our customers and drive operational excellence. We are first point of contact for employees and managers to receive solutions and answers to their HR related questions and manage a Hire to Retire HR processes whilst collaborating with various team with and outside HR functions. The APAC ASK HR center supports 14 countries in APAC and supports 7 key languages: English, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Bahasa, Mandarin.

The HR Operations Supervisor is directly involved in leading the team & deploying the operational excellence goals of APAC Ask HR Shared Services Center with responsibility for global/regional support for HR applications, all Workday modules, reporting tools, HR Processes and activities according to the Service Catalogue. This position will be based at the Manila office in Philippines
In this newly created role, the HR Shared Services Supervisor has a key role to support building a strong and knowledgeable team to provide AskHR operational support and services to managers and employees of Medtronic on HR topics.

In this newly created role, the HR Shared Services Supervisor has a key role to support building a strong and knowledgeable team to provide AskHR operational support and services to managers and employees of Medtronic on HR topics.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Oversee the operations of two workstreams within the AskHR APAC team.
- Will be responsible for the performance management, career development and KPI of all team members which may come from diverse background
- Will lead the implementation of processes, procedures and policies necessary to manage a multi-tiered shared service HR while driving towards standardization at the same time
- Will consult, advise and collaborate and forge strong partnership with HR Centers of Expertise and HR Business Partners to ensure optimum operation of HR applications and services
- Will be responsible for the learning and development of the AskHR team on the HR applications, processes and procedures in place within Medtronic HR with support from the leadership
- Will design, implement and execute ASK HR strategies with support from leadership, partner with business operations to ensure a complete understanding of business needs and objective and proactively resolves HR and business issues, provides solutions through organizational effectiveness and employee life cycle management, anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs and trends in partnership with business management, responsible for and/or serves as a HR liaison in key projects.
- Will build strong partnership and collaborate with other back office support function : IT, Finance, RDA on ensuring we provide an integrated solution for interrelated data points & processes
- To drive operational excellence and adherence to standardized work and procedure. You will proactively support the adoption of Lean culture
- Will coach Team Members to identify, resolve and/or escalate as appropriate problems that arise using A3 DMAIC process to identify root cause of issues. You will be responsible to ensure quality of service of the ASK HR team
- Together with the ASK HR Leader, drive, lead and/or support regional and global initiatives. Perform a back-up role for the ASK HR Leader when necessary
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Degree level in Human Resources or related discipline is highly desirable
- 4-5 years of relevant experience in leading/managing a diverse team within HR Shared Services environment in a regional/APAC capacity
- Strong fluency in English both in writing and speaking. Fluency in other Asian language a plus but not required
- Experience in using ServiceNow, and Workday a big plus
- Experienced with leading and developing team members, cross-functional collaboration and communication gaining trust of key stakeholders and developing solutions rapidly to urgent business needs
- Tech-savvy, systems thinker and can connect the dots to see the big picture in tackling highly complex situation; Be able to bring the team together in understanding and finding solution for complex issues
