What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a detail-driven and systems-oriented Senior HR Operations Specialist to join our APAC People Operations team. You’ll take ownership of core operational workflows across our HRIS (BambooHR), employee lifecycle changes, and timekeeping processes—while driving high-impact projects that make our operations more accurate, scalable, and self-serve.

This role is perfect for someone who understands how HR systems interact with people, data, and process—and who’s ready to lead structured improvements across them.

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Conduct full-cycle audits of BambooHR data to ensure accuracy in compensation, job architecture, employment status, and reporting structure
  • Build, document, and maintain system workflows and automation rules in BambooHR (custom fields, filters, reporting, and permissions)
  • Project manage change cycles for employee movements—leading coordination across HRBP, Payroll, IT, and Legal to ensure alignment
  • Oversee leave, timekeeping, and PTO tracking—including escalation management, system configuration, and integration monitoring
  • Manage and triage incoming HR Ops tickets with a focus on speed, accuracy, and root-cause prevention
  • Own process documentation, workflow optimization, and audit readiness across the BambooHR environment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and deliver structured, measurable process improvements

Year 1 Deliverables

  • Complete a full system audit and remediation of BambooHR data across all employee records
  • Launch a standardized, documented workflow for employee changes that integrates HRIS, payroll, and access management
  • Improve BambooHR reporting dashboards for use by Finance, HRBPs, and People Leaders
  • Lead and close 2–3 cross-functional HR operations improvement projects (e.g., BambooHR automation, leave tracking upgrades, data syncs)
  • Reduce operational error rate in employee movement processing by 30% through better systems design and SOP coverage
  • Launch or optimize internal documentation to improve manager and HRBP self-service

About You

  • You have 4–5 years of experience in HR Operations, Shared Services, or People Systems, preferably in a high-growth or regional setup
  • You’ve owned or managed an HRIS—BambooHR experience is a must
  • You’re comfortable running system audits, reconciling employee data, and diagnosing upstream/downstream impact
  • You’ve led or supported operational projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders
  • You know how to think in workflows, solve for edge cases, and reduce process debt
  • You’re organized, self-starting, and comfortable handling sensitive data with discretion
  • You write clean documentation and believe in building for scale

Bonus Points

  • You’ve supported regional teams across APAC (especially PH and MY)
  • You’ve implemented BambooHR automations or integrated third-party tools
  • You’ve worked with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Zendesk, Freshservice) and used dashboards to track SLA or resolution time
  • You’re familiar with labor compliance requirements for employee records and leave management
  • You’re the kind of person who makes workflows better even when no one asks
  • You update project trackers without being asked
