The Role Overview
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a strategic role in the Human Resources department. The HRBP collaborates closely with business leaders to align HR practices with organizational goals, ensuring employee satisfaction, fostering employee engagement, managing talent, and providing expert guidance on all people-related matters. This position requires a deep understanding of both HR policies and business objectives to drive performance, deliver solutions and support growth.
The HRBP will lead the end-to-end human resources management for all Maxicare sites across the Visayas region. Preferably based off Cebu, this critical and strategic role will ensure seamless execution of HR strategies, fostering a high-performing, engaged, and purpose-driven workforce. The HRBP will act as a strategic partner to business leaders while ensuring compliance with company policies and local labor regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Partnering:
- Partner with regional leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
- Act as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues.
- Develop and implement HR strategies that drive organizational performance.
- Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee concerns and grievances ensuring a harmonious work environment.
- Foster a positive workplace culture and address conflicts effectively through open communication and engagement programs.
- Talent and Performance Management:
- Liaise with the Talent Management team on sourcing, recruitment and onboarding of new hires to ensure seamless integration into the organization.
- Partner with managers to identify talent gaps, training and developmental needs and implement succession planning.
- Support leadership in developing high-potential employees.
- Lead performance management systems and processes that drive accountability and continuous improvement..
- Compliance and Labor Relations:
- Ensure strict adherence to local labor laws and company policies.
- Update HR policies to reflect regulatory changes and best practices.
- Conduct investigations, as needed, related to employee complaints, discipline and workplace issues.
- Compensation and Benefits Administration:
- Oversee payroll processes and ensure accurate and timely delivery or execution..
- Review and recommend competitive benefits packages that attract and retain talent.
- HR Operations & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Prepare regular HR reports, providing data-driven insights on employee satisfaction, turnover, and performance..
- Analyze HR data to provide insights and recommendations to business leaders.
- Change Management:
- Support organizational changes by advising leadership and managing employee communication.
- Drive engagement during transitions such as restructuring or new initiatives.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive in HR experience, with at least 2+ years in a strategic HR position, experience in Healthcare or service industries is preferred
- Certifications: PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, CHRP is a plus.
- Proven expertise in end-to-end HR Management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build trust and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in HRIS tools and data analytics.
- Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making and problem-solving skills..
