As the Finance Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities for our Philippine BPO office. You will play a crucial role in setting up and maintaining financial systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the office. As the Finance Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities for our Philippine BPO office. You will play a crucial role in setting up and maintaining financial systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the office. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
- Setting up and maintaining accounting systems and processes tailored to a BPO environment.
- Ensuring compliance with Philippine tax laws, payroll taxes, VAT, and other regulatory requirements.
- Preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making.
- Collaborating with the Belgian headquarters to align financial practices and reporting.
- Handling financial audits and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Supporting multiple projects or clients with precise financial tracking and reporting.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Philippines or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a BPO or outsourcing environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Experience with Odoo or similar ERP systems is a strong advantage.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for financial analysis and reporting.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of Philippine tax laws PEZA and compliance requirements.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and Filipino (Tagalog) is required.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to establish financial workflows independently.
