Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor and resolve first-level technical support requests via phone or ticketing system, including (but not nearly limited to) password resets, hardware replacements, printer problems, Windows issues, and desk phone support.
- Administer our wide variety of employee accounts – creating, organizing, modifying, and removing.
- Minor physical labor assisting shipping/receiving with the arrival of any technical equipment for relocation into storage or otherwise.
- Dependably redirect non-technical requests to the appropriate departments/vendors responsible for fulfilling them.
- Other duties as assigned.
- One – two years help desk technician experience in a mid-size company preferred
- Previous experience working with Windows 10, VMWare, Active Directory, ServiceNow or other ticketing system, and/or Exchange
- Independent passion for learning
- Friendly desire to help other people
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in an occasionally high-pressure environment
- Knowing when the magnitude and/or implication of a problem requires escalation
- Being on-call 24/7 for a few weeks out of the year for after-hours emergency coverage
