Role Purpose

Acts as management’s principal assistant and consultant in the development and application of programs to remove the hazards from the workplace, correct unsafe work practices and ensure compliance to Occupational Safety and Health Standards of DOLE and other OSH related legal requirement to both employees and vendors (contractors and suppliers)

Job Description

Occupational Health and Safety Policies, Procedures and Standards

• Develop Safe System of Work Manual applicable to project sites and facilities to establish practice of Health and Safety culture across the business unit

Health and Safety Plan per project site

• Review and monitor implementation of H&S Plan of contractors to ensure compliance of all project sites to DOLE requirements
• Designs, develops and implements employee and vendor safety program for the business unit and establish safety culture across the business.

Occupational Health and Safety Committee

• Set-up H&S Committee in the BU and act as secretariat to the regular committee meetings to comply with DOLE requirement

Health and Safety Audit

• Conduct project site inspection to ensure compliance to H&S plan, identify project site risks to mitigate potential accident

HAZOP/HAZCON

• Review and participate in project HAZOP and HAZCON studies and discussion to ensure compliance to applicable legal requirement and incorporate engineering measures in the design

Education

Bachelors Degree in Environmental & Sanitary Engineering or Related Courses

Certifications

BOSH or COSH training
