About The Role

This cluster position spans Ilfracombe State School, Longreach State School, and Longreach State High School, with the base located at Longreach State High School. As the Head of Special Education Services, you will lead and manage the Special Education Program to ensure equity and excellence for students with disabilities. You will work closely with leadership teams and teachers across multiple sites to provide high-quality advice, support, and adjustments tailored to student needs.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Promoting an inclusive culture and practices to support students with disabilities.
  • Leading and managing the Special Education Program across the cluster schools.
  • Providing high-quality advice to school staff on implementing effective adjustments for students with disabilities.
  • Coordinating and delivering targeted teaching and case management for students requiring intervention.
  • Building partnerships with parents, government agencies, and community groups to support students with disabilities.
