We're Hiring: Head of Solutions Architect!

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Head of Solutions Architect to lead our architectural strategy and design solutions that enhance customer experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions in line with business objectives.

Role: Head of Solutions Architect

As the Lead Technical Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for making key architectural decisions and ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices. You willleverage your deep technical expertise and strong problem-solving abilitiestoguide the technical direction of projects, mentor junior architects, and play a key role in shaping the technical culture and capabilities of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architectural Leadership:

Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of complex solutions, ensuring they meet business needs, are scalable, secure, maintainableand are delivered within planned timelines and budgets. Define and drive the technical strategy for large and/or high-visibility projects. Make key decisions on system design, integrations, technology stack, and deployment.

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship:

Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of architects, guiding them in the development of technical solutions, adhering to best practices, and applying architectural principles. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, product managers, project managers, and engineering teams to gather requirements, ensure alignment on goals, and translate business needs into technical solutions. Serve as a trusted advisor for technical direction.

  • Solution Design & Strategy:

Define technical solutions across various domains, ensuring that they are aligned with business strategy, cost-effective, and built for future scalability. Oversee the technical architecture of complex systems, from design to deployment. Emphasize security, performance, reliability,resiliencyand integration with existing systems.

  • Hands-On Technical Expertise:

While providing strategic direction, actively contribute to the technical development by reviewing designs, code, and documentation. Participate in hands-on development, especially during critical phases or to resolve complex challenges.

  • Risk Management & Compliance:

Identify and assess technical risks, recommending mitigation strategies. Ensure that all solutions are compliant with relevant industry regulations, such as data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR), security standards (e.g., ISO, PCI-DSS), and other compliance frameworks.

  • Technical Roadmap & Innovation:

Define and maintain the long-term technical roadmap for the organization. Research and evaluate emerging technologies and tools to continuously improve the architecture, processes, and performance. Advocate for innovation and the adoption of best practices, including cloud-native development, microservices, and DevOps practices.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with DevOps, infrastructure, QA, security, and other technical teams to ensure that solutions are feasible, secure, and optimized for production. Ensure smooth and efficient deployment, monitoring, and ongoing support of the solutions.

  • Users& Vendor Interaction:

Engage withbusiness & ops usersand vendors to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and ensure third-party services and technologies are integrated into the solutions effectively, timely & cost-efficiently.

  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:

Maintain high-quality documentation for architectural decisions, system designs, integration guides, and technical specifications. Share knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices with the broader technical team to promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Experience:
  • 15+ years of experience in technical architecture, software engineering, or solutions architecture, with a proven track record of leading complex, enterprise-level projects.
  • Extensive experience in architecting large-scale, mission-critical systems and solutions,bothin a cloud-native& hybridenvironment.
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing or mentoring teams of architects and senior technical staff.
  • Strong background in designing, implementing, and integrating enterprise applications, including cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), microservices, APIs, and large-scale databases.
  • Experience with full lifecycle system development, from concept to implementation and support, in an agile& waterfallenvironment.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in a wide range of technologies, frameworks, and programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, Go).
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), cloud-native architectures, and related tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform).
  • Experience with enterprise integration patterns, API design, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and microservices.
  • Deep understanding of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and distributed data architectures.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and containerization.
  • In-depth knowledge of security and compliance practices for cloud-based and enterprise systems.
  • Leadership & Soft Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire, guide, and motivate teams of architects, developers, and engineers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach, with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable solutions.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Certifications (Preferred but not required):
  • Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Architect).
  • TOGAF, ITIL, or other relevant architecture certifications.
  • Certifications in DevOps, security, or enterprise-level technology platforms are a plus.
