Role Overview

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating visually compelling designs that enhance Metis College’s learning materials and marketing initiatives. This role requires a strong eye for design, creativity, and proficiency in digital tools to develop engaging graphics, course visuals, social media assets, and branding materials. The Graphic Designer will collaborate closely with instructional designers, content creators, and marketing teams to produce high-quality visuals that align with the college’s brand identity.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Create original graphic content, imagery, illustrations across multiple mediums for internal and/or external use. Choose the imagery, typography, and layouts for projects aligned to Metis College's brand guidelines.
• Execute our brand standards in all communications materials across the audience journey.
• Understand how our design language should scale across different mediums and stages.
• Collaborate with other teammates to bring projects to life.

Skills And Competencies

• Structured design process with a history of successful outcomes
• Great aesthetic sense and a strong attention to detail
• Experienced in designing across many mediums and specific audiences, and have a strong portfolio to prove it
• Highly experienced in working with digital editing software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva etc)
• Creative and excellent communicator, and can explain the rationale behind the design decisions you make
• Strong collaborator that seeks partnership across the business
• Organized and can balance multiple projects without missing deadlines
• Capable of navigating ambiguity to create something new and never done before
• Passionate about embodying the company’s culture, mission, vision, and values in the designs you create
• (Preferred but not required) Experience designing and producing content for a brand with a similar audience or domain
  
  

Relevant Experience Required

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in graphic design, visual communications, and developing creative content for internal or external campaigns and audiences
• Experience in marketing educational services is a plus.
  
  

Educational And Certification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Mass Communication, Information Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Arts, Animation, etc.)
• Portfolio showcasing previous work is required
