A Graphic Designer Is Expected To
- Design advertisements using Adobe InDesign based on the provided copy.
- Utilize a web-based graphic resource for design tools.
- Access workflow and copy through the Company's custom-built Workflow System - Star Production System 1.
- Prepare and upload ePaper/eMag documents to the company’s website.
- Layout pages, placing advertisements, editorial content, and photos effectively.
- Send pages to press, ensuring high quality is maintained.
- Design and layout commercial projects, including books, brochures, and magazines.
- Obtain client approval for advertisements.
- Lay out editorial pages using Adobe InDesign, working with allocated material (stories and pictures).
- Access the editorial system through the Company’s custom-built Workflow System - SCMS.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s operational and production processes.
- Report directly to the Creative Services Manager and supervisors, addressing any queries to them.
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
- Experience with layout and design for print and digital media.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work with web-based graphic resources.
- Familiarity with workflow systems, preferably custom-built systems like Star Production System 1 and SCMS.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills for obtaining client approvals and coordinating with supervisors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of pre-press processes and standards.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience in a similar role within a creative services environment is preferred.
