A Graphic Designer Is Expected To

  • Design advertisements using Adobe InDesign based on the provided copy.
  • Utilize a web-based graphic resource for design tools.
  • Access workflow and copy through the Company's custom-built Workflow System - Star Production System 1.
  • Prepare and upload ePaper/eMag documents to the company’s website.
  • Layout pages, placing advertisements, editorial content, and photos effectively.
  • Send pages to press, ensuring high quality is maintained.
  • Design and layout commercial projects, including books, brochures, and magazines.
  • Obtain client approval for advertisements.
  • Lay out editorial pages using Adobe InDesign, working with allocated material (stories and pictures).
  • Access the editorial system through the Company’s custom-built Workflow System - SCMS.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s operational and production processes.
  • Report directly to the Creative Services Manager and supervisors, addressing any queries to them.

What it takes to be part of our team:

  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
  • Experience with layout and design for print and digital media.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work with web-based graphic resources.
  • Familiarity with workflow systems, preferably custom-built systems like Star Production System 1 and SCMS.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills for obtaining client approvals and coordinating with supervisors.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of pre-press processes and standards.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience in a similar role within a creative services environment is preferred.
