General Mechanic
Solenergy Systems Inc.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on motorpool vehicles and equipment, including engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and provide solutions to restore equipment functionality.
• Dismantle, repair, and reassemble engines, transmissions, and other complex mechanical components.
• Conduct inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
• Work with the Motorpool Supervisor to prioritize and complete repairs based on project timelines and equipment availability.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts replacements, and maintenance activities. • Ensure the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Assist in the identification of spare parts and equipment needs, working with the Purchaser Liaison for procurement.
• Follow safety protocols and industry best practices while performing repairs and maintenance tasks.
Qualification
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanics or automotive repair is preferred.
• Proven experience as a mechanic with a strong understanding of motorpool equipment, heavy machinery, and vehicles.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment issues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and reporting purposes
