• Your Role:
• As a General Accounting Accountant in Manila Shared Service Center, you handle and perform both the General Ledger (GL) and Management Accounting (MA) operations tasks of the assigned entity daily, including month-end close (MEC) activities, to ensure realization of service objectives within set guidelines/policies.
• You manage your GL processes and tasks to provide internal customers with financial data/reports, manage accounting processes, post to the general ledger, handle payroll and benefits (whenever applicable to the entity), maintain master data, and reconcile/maintain accounts.
• You are responsible for the preparation of reports as required by the local finance and Group Accounting, performing financial analysis and (pre-)audit tasks.
• You handle escalations, perform advanced processing for specific GL activities of a more complex/sensitive nature, and provide support on user testing on ERP / GL related tasks.
• You support MA activities, including cost accounting and profitability analysis for one or more entities assigned, and support local finance and controlling units in both areas.
• You assist in managing maintenance and posting processes in cost accounting to provide an accurate and timely picture of the overhead cost situation as a basis for controlling analysis and business decisions.
• You support the maintenance of cost accounting master data, considering all relevant global guidelines and integrity constraints to establish a valid set of cost centers, internal orders, and projects.
• Tasks also include managing master data related requests via mailbox and MDG-F tool, including system transfer price updates, reports, and troubleshooting.
• In addition, you support performing period-end closing procedures (monthly, quarterly, yearly) and reports as specified in line with international standards and guidelines.
• You leverage your expertise to constantly seek out better ways of performing processes, contributing to process excellence initiatives and supporting operational performance reporting activities.
• You work and collaborate well with local entity finance in resolving issues pertaining to the process.
  

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree holder in finance, accounting, or related field required.
• At least 1 to 3 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting Operations.
• Experience within a Shared Services Center preferred.
• Profound accounting knowledge required (IFRS, GAAP, Tax).
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems required.
• Well-experienced in accounting/finance with direct related experience in full-cycle cost accounting and profitability analysis.
• Experience with Cost Accounting and Profitability Accounting.
• Experience with SAP CO-OM and SAP CO-PA.
• Fluent English language skills required.
• Willing to be based in Manila, Philippines.
