EY-GDS Consulting – Data and Analytics – Technical Manager

As part of our EY-GDS GRC Data and Analytics team, you’ll work in high-performing teams that deliver exceptional client service, enabling organisations to grow, innovate, protect and optimise their business performance. As a Consulting manager, you are expected to contribute technically on the engagements as well as enable your senior management in achieving firm wide goals. The opportunity

We’re looking for a Technical Manager to join the leadership group of our EY-GDS Data and Analytics Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of the service offering.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Provide input, monitor, and coordinate the project solution team across infrastructure, technical, and functional work streams
• Contribute to product design and establishment of requirements
• Delegate technical responsibilities and monitor the progress of projects
• Deliver products consistently, on time, and on budget
• Manage a delivery team to ensure timely and accurate customer deliveries.
• Oversee daily activities of delivery team and provide direction and guidance as needed.
• Perform resource allocations and workload assignments according to delivery requirements.
• Ensure that team maintains high level of competence and operational excellence.
• Evaluate the performance of team members and determine training needs.
• Serve as primary contact for customer inquiries and concerns.
• Analyze customer orders, set delivery priorities and make schedule adjustments to meet timely delivery goals.
• Develop process improvements to achieve cost effectiveness and time saving.
• Make critical business decisions to meet customer expectations.
• Develop scope and budget for delivery projects
• Experience in converting business problems/challenges to technical solutions.
• Develop standardized practices for delivering new products and capabilities
• Report delivery status to customers and develop required delivery documentations.
  
  

To qualify for the role, you must have

• 12+ years of experience with strong understanding & familiarity with project management techniques
• Established experience with project management programs, SCRUM, and different variants of AGILE techniques, along with familiarity with code management and Continuous Integration/Delivery Implementation (CI/DI).
• Familiar with tools like JIRA, Trello, Azure Devops etc.
• Managing outcome led technical programs and technical activities in accordance with the agreed project scope
• Experience in Data Transformation using ETL tools / cloud engineering (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Proficiency in developing code using SQL/HSQL
• Proficiency in Python development is a plus
• Experience in enterprise level database and data warehousing projects using SQL, NoSQL & RDBMS such as MS SQL, AWS DynamoDB, etc
• Certifications like PMP is good to have
• Experience in Financial Services is nice to have
