Full-Stack Engineer

The Opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing Australian fintech company transforming how individuals and businesses transfer money globally. Founded in 2018, they offer a seamless cross-border payments platform that prioritizes speed, transparency, and user experience. With a modern tech stack and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions, the company supports international transfers to over 180 countries and has already facilitated more than AUD 1 billion in transactions. Their mission is to simplify global payments through intuitive solutions and strategic partnerships.

Their Business Services Delivery department is actively focused on building web. Currently, they are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer join the Software Engineering team to create modern digital software products. The team uses cutting-edge technologies to build high performing, scalable cloud-based solutions in a safe, secure, and agile fashion.

Key Responsibilities

• In our high performing team, you will actively participate in the design, coding, testing, and debugging of software applications and components using the latest programming languages and tools.
• Bugs bother you, and you are relentless in identifying and resolving software defects, performance bottlenecks, and other technical challenges using a creative mindset.
• You will not be siloed, and you are someone who thrives in cross-functional teams, collaborating closely with talented professionals including product team, business owners and testers.
• You embrace the power of AI, working with modern AI coding tools and building AI agents that become valuable members of our AI workforce, accelerating productivity and innovation across the business.
• In a rapidly fast changing landscape, you are passionate about staying at the forefront of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software engineering.
• You understand that documentation is important for future reference and effective knowledge transfer and are diligent in your documentation.
• You understand best practice coding principles and apply your knowledge to participate in code reviews and embrace a culture of quality assurance.
• You take pride in writing clean, well-tested code and contribute to implementing rigorous quality assurance practices to ensure the excellence of our software products.
  
  
  

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• You hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience), demonstrating your commitment to excellence in the field.
• Possess expertise in programming languages such as JavaScript/Typescript.
• Experience working with Database system using PostgreSQL
• Must have hands-on experience in writing unit testing
• Nice to have if you have experience working at the intersection of software and infrastructure, with experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code to help build scalable, reliable systems..
