Job Summary

  • Responsible for monitoring and analyzing market movements and recommends investment opportunities to be taken; responsible for scouting, canvassing, evaluating, negotiating and executing trading transactions for all trust and fiduciary accounts in the money market, capital markets, debt/bond market and currency market.

How will you contribute?

  • Monitors and analyzes movements in stock market prices, interest rates and exchange rates to identify possible opportunities for trading gains for the trust accounts and timely execution of trades and provides regular updates and analysis to portfolio managers.
  • Manages specific UITFs and the equities portfolios of assigned regular trust accounts.
  • Canvasses rates offered by other financial institutions for money market placements, time deposits, Treasury bills, government securities, bonds and other instruments and offers these to the portfolio managers.
  • Researches and analyzes potential investment outlets for the trust accounts and provides recommendations to the Division Head and the portfolio managers
  • Cultivates and expands relationships with counterparties and negotiates for buy and sell transactions of equities, bonds, commercial papers, deposit products, notes, government securities for all trust and fiduciary accounts.
  • Accepts and executes orders for investments from portfolio managers and inputs done transactions in the system, prepares trading orders and action requests for processing by Trust Operations.
  • Monitors corporate actions on specific stocks such as cash dividends, stock dividends, stock righs, IPOs and other announcements from the issuers and advises the portfolio managers of such announcements.
  • Coordinates with Credit Management Division on the renewal of money market lines for financial institutions and accreditation of stockbrokers.
  • Confirms closing quotations of various instruments for the day.

What will make you successful?

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or Industrial Management Engineering
  • Working knowledge of various investment markets and products (i.e. money market, equities, bonds, deposits, foreign exchange, derivatives)
