Your impact

At Jacobs, our Power Solutions team is geared towards providing a more integrated approach offering end-to-end service to support our clients in energy networks, thermal generation, renewable generation and storage solutions space. We are helping our clients meet the challenges faced in countries and cities across the globe, providing innovative solutions from replacing conventional thermal power plants with renewable energy to developing demand side management strategies.

We are seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to lead the design and engineering of fire protection systems for industrial projects, ensuring full compliance with international standards and consistently exceeding client expectations.

Responsibilities Include

• Designing fire protection systems per NFPA, TAC, NBC, and insurance standards (FMG, AXA, GAP).
• Delivering engineering designs, requisitions, and documentation on schedule.
• Guiding junior engineers and designers in executing project requirements.
• Leading technical meetings and client interactions independently.
• Monitoring project progress, budget, and resource usage.
• Ensuring adherence to departmental quality systems and procedures.
• Providing technical input on system installation and material specifications.
• Preparing BOQs for all fire protection components.
• Maintaining strong client relationships and address feedback professionally.
  
  
  

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Process Engineering with minimum 8 years experience in fire protection design for power plant or oil & gas projects within an engineering consultancy.
• Proficient in basic and detailed engineering, system layouts, and cross-discipline coordination. Able to work independently with minimal client input.
• Familiar with NBC, IS, TAC, NFPA, and FMG standards.
• Software knowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SketchUp and PipeNet
• System Expertise in designing and reviewing of
• Hydrant & Sprinkler Systems
• MV/HV Spray Systems
• Foam Flooding
• Extinguisher Layouts
• Gas Suppression (FM200, NOVEC 1230)
