Job Description

  • Preparation, completion and submission of the following:
  • Monthly forecast
  • Month-end close
  • Annual budget
  • Capital strategy, planning, and projections
  • Business case creation, review, and tracking worldwide
  • Project tracking actuals to business case
  • Other adhoc reports as assigned
  • Provide strong customer service to the customers
  • Document processes and procedures ensuring it complies with Company guidelines and recommend process flow improvements
  • Perform back up function especially in cases of high volume or shortage of manpower
  • Escalate issues as appropriate
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • Has a strong concept of attention to detail but can understand the big picture ramifications of each financial adjustment.

  • Ability to forge strong partnerships with Project management, accounting, tax, and other professionals to create more comprehensive analyses.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – ability to correspond and speak with SVP level professionally.
  • Knows his or her audience – understands the level of detail needed to be successful with accounting but also what needs to be communicated to a VP
  • Ability to make accurate, independent decisions based on data provided.
  • Must be flexible and customer focused.
  • Possess a positive attitude. Can manage conflict and maintain position while being sensitive to overall relationships.
  • Ability to follow through and meet deadlines consistently. Ability to multi-task and prioritize work, managing multiple competing priorities.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 1+ years work experience with evidence of increasing responsibility and scope
  • Someone who has already worked in a Manila based BPO or Shared Services as a staff analyst, business analyst, or senior financial analyst.
  • Knowledge of variance analysis, data mining, month end close, requesting input for financial forecasting
  • Firm understanding of CAPEX versus OPEX
  • Very strong Excel skills, vlookup, hlookups, if statements, nesting statements, pivot tables – can take large quantities of data often in horrible formats and transform them into meaningful data
  • Knowledge of the Oracle system is a plus
