Financial Planning Analyst (On-site, Part-time)

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

The Financial Planning Analyst is responsible for the Financial Planning and Analysis, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Reporting.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing project financial reporting and financial status per project in a timely manner
• Assist in the preparation and reporting of annual and monthly budget management to the management and client
• Identify and research variances to forecast/projections, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Management of other financial report including: cash balances, financial statements and wrap rate maintenance
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
  
  
  

Qualifications to be successful in the role: 

• Degree in Accountancy, Financial Accounting or any related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis and Accounting related tasks.
• Must have a good understanding of Financial and Accounting Principles and Accounting systems.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, self-starter and manage time efficiently.
• Excellent Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and QuickBooks is highly desirable.
• Strong communications skills in English both written and oral.
