About The Role

Oceania Financial Services provides other divisions with financial information to enable them to make effective business decisions. OFS also implements and monitors effective financial controls.

The Financial Accountant role provides main support to the Project team in Plan to Report (P2R) workstream. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely financial processing during our ongoing system migration and process optimization efforts.

The role involves managing intercompany general ledger (GL) transactions, miscellaneous invoicing, foreign exchange revaluation, and balance sheet product allocations, while also providing ad-hoc support required by the project team.

Essential Duties

  • Assist in all types of testing and ensuring that the system is built according to entities’ requirements
  • Assist in validating migrated data in the new system.
  • Conduct system training to end users
  • Participate in the documentation of new processes and workflows resulting from the system change.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, IT, and project team members to resolve issues and ensure successful cutover.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities during and after migration.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement standardized procedures in line with best practices
  • Assist in other Project tasks that may be required by Project team
  • Ensure all queries are handled promptly and professionally
  • Collaborate with Project team and OFS Onshore and Offshore Accounting Team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
  • CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in financial accounting, ideally with experience in Plan-To-Report accounting processes.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft D365, TM1, BlackLine); experience with system migration is a strong advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP / IFRS, foreign currency transactions, and intercompany frameworks.
  • Proficient in Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • With excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a project-based, collaborative environment.
