Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Support the FS function by undertaking the duties assigned. Tasks will be assigned in adherence to separation of duties guidelines based on workload requirements
- Work in partnership with other GHD employees and stakeholders (as required) to respond to enquiries and requests in a professional manner and within the payroll department SLA
- Support the delivery of BAU Payroll Services and Payroll Improvement projects
- Provide input into and assist as required in the documentation of business requirements for system and process improvements
- Assist in the preparation of employee tax obligations and returns, including but not limited to BIR Form 2316, the Alphalist, and other payroll requirements, while being familiar with the relevant filing processes.
- Contribute to test plans, review of test outcomes with the Service Delivery and Operations teams and support the delivery of knowledge sessions once any process/system changes move into the Delivery teams
- Support the analysis of proposed changes via impacts assessments, assist with determining the benefits to be realised, measure, monitor & update where deliverables change as required
- Support as required the preparation, investigation and management of ad hoc payroll reconciliations and monthly payroll balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist the team on other tasks or projects as required
- Ensure compliance with all GHD finance policies and procedures
- Provide continuous feedback, including positive confirmations on matters relating to compliance with company policies and procedures
- Ensure a co-operative and open knowledge sharing relationship is developed and maintained with other operating centres
- Knowledge of payroll legislation as well as any core payroll, upstream and downstream processes
- Business partner with an agile and growth mindset who is looking to take on a new challenge that requires capability in driving and delivering results and the ability to negotiate and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Effective communicator fluent with all types of stakeholders, including the technical teams
- Knowledge and experience of a HRIS and payroll system (ADP Global view) would be preferred but is not essential.
- Experience in standard Microsoft Office applications. Intermediate skills in Excel and Word applications
- Aptitude for numerical work and problem solving
- High degree of detail and accuracy in all areas of work.
