Contexte et environnement

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Manager (Philippines) to lead the full spectrum of finance operations for our 3 Philippine entities, with a strong expertise in local tax compliance.

This role will serve as the primary finance point of contact for the Philippines region and will collaborate closely with regional and cross-functional teams across APAC.

This position will be based in Philippines and will report directly to the regional assistant finance manager in Singapore.

Responsibilities include financial accounting, statutory compliance, tax, audit, internal and external reporting for 3 entities in the Philippines.

Activités

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES

Financial Operations and Accounting

  • Maintain the accounting books in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
  • Be accountable for month-end financial reporting
  • Ensure accurate and timely closing of monthly financials and reporting to the headquarters.
  • Prepare weekly payment runs, which includes physical visits to the local bank
  • Monitor and prepare monthly operational cash flow forecasts
  • Oversee an external team who supports the purchase to pay and order to cash cycles
  • Assist in project-related matters- including project analysis and data provision to relevant departments
  • Work with local and regional stakeholders on CAPEX and OPEX planning
  • Support intercompany and intra-group reconciliations and ensure timely booking of transactions
  • Prepare and submit group financial reports for quarterly consolidation (eg. Via Report)
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with internal finance governance policies


Audit and Tax Compliance

  • Lead the end-to-end statutory audit process, including planning, coordination, fieldwork support, and closure
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulation including preparation and submission of all tax returns (e.g. VAT, withholding tax, annual income tax, real property tax etc), including review of prior filings where necessary


Projects and Ad-Hoc

  • Approximately 20-30% of this role involves providing on-the-ground business support, including activities such as SEC and LGU filings, business permit renewals, document notarisation and etc
  • Collaborate with accounting, tax and other functions in Philippines and across the APAC region for any deliverable required
  • Participate in and support regional finance projects and initiatives
  • Undertake ad-hoc assignments as requested by management.


Profil du candidat

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Professional qualification (e.g. CPA) is preferred
  • 10 years of relevant working experience in professional firms or multi-national companies with full set experience
  • Hands-on experience of accounting systems and good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Familiar with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a strong plus
  • Good knowledge of IFRS/local accounting requirements, tax rules and regulations
  • Experience with renewable energy business is preferred
  • Ability to work independently, as well as with the Team and comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-pace environment
  • Good analytical and communication skills are required, as well as advanced skills in stakeholder relations
  • Good verbal and written proficiency in English and in the local language of administration are required as the role involves a high level of interaction with internal stakeholders
  • Proactive, vigilant and resilient
