About The Job Finance Executive

We are looking for a meticulous and reliable Finance Executive to oversee bookkeeping and day-to-day finance operations in a fast-paced fintech environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the financial backend of digital payment or lending platforms. This role plays a vital part in maintaining accurate financial data and supporting smooth finance operations.

Key Responsibilities: Bookkeeping & Accounting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records (full set of accounts)
  • Perform daily bookkeeping entries: revenue, expenses, accruals, and adjustments
  • Reconcile bank statements, merchant/payment gateway balances, and virtual accounts
  • Process accounts payable/receivable and ensure proper documentation and approvals
  • Manage staff claims, reimbursements, and petty cash controls
  • Ensure all transactions are posted correctly in the accounting system

Finance Operations

  • Handle vendor payments and internal fund transfers, ensuring timely processing
  • Monitor cash flow and daily bank balances
  • Track settlements, collections, disbursements, and refunds
  • Liaise with product/ops teams to resolve reconciliation issues or discrepancies
  • Assist in preparing supporting documents for monthly financial close

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure adherence to internal finance SOPs and approval workflows
  • Support preparation of schedules for audits and tax filing
  • Help maintain compliance with relevant regulatory and reporting requirements (e.g., MAS, IRAS)
  • Participate in internal checks and controls related to transaction processing

Requirements:

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent (completed or in progress) are preferred.

Experience

  • 1-3 years of relevant working experience in accounting or financial management.
  • Experience in ERP systems (e.g., XERO) is an advantage.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP), and financial analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
