Field Team Leader
International Committee of the Red Cross - ICRC
In close coordination with the Head of Operations, The Luzon-Visayas Field Team Leader (FTL) contributes to the Delegation’s Situation Analysis and operational strategies as they pertain to their area of responsibility (AoR).
In collaboration with the relevant coordinators, S/he oversees the design, implementation, and monitoring of humanitarian action plans, with a particular focus on Protection, Prevention, and Cooperation with Red Cross/Red Crescent partners responses. S/he represent the ICRC to various stakeholders, including military and civil authorities, community leaders, and affected populations.
Responsibilities
- Produces contextual (Political, conflict and humanitarian) analysis in the form of Problem Analysis and suggests related humanitarian actions plan.
- Organizes with certain level of autonomy ICRC projects and operational activities (Protection, Prevention, Assistance, Cooperation) in AoRs.
- Ensures close interaction and partner dynamics with Philippine Red Cross chapters for joint and/or complementary activities within the programme management cycle.
- Contributes to the delegation's dialogue with its network of interlocutors (authorities, arms carriers etc.) on protection concerns in accordance with the relevant strategies and objectives, to increase respect for international humanitarian law (IHL) and other standards.
Required profile
- Master in Political Sciences, Law, History or similar studies
- Good understanding of the ICRC mandates, its Operational modus operandi and RC/RC Movement.
- Previous field experiences in Visayas and/ or Luzon a strong asset.
- Good analytical, reporting, and external representation skills.
- Experience in People and multi-disciplinary teams Management.
- At least 5 years of professional experiences in the humanitarian sector is an asset.
- Fluency in English and Tagalog; fluency in Bicolano and Ilocano an asset
