Field Engineer

Job Summary

This position is primarily responsible for providing IT technical support to BDO branches, subsidiaries, affiliates and other BDO units. Addresses and resolves IT related problem calls, projects, requests, and activities assigned.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned preventive and corrective maintenance tasks while complying with ITO quality and service level standards.
• Ensures answering inquiries regarding computer software and hardware to resolve problems and meet new business needs.
• Assess readiness of a site to accept installation of IT equipment and make recommendations to address deficiencies or incompatibilities.
• Handle projects such as new branch implementation, relocation, renovation and consolidation of branches, ATM installation, relocation, pull-out, line upgrade, roll-out of patches/fixes on ATM and engineering changes
• Prepare incident reports for critical incidents handled.
• Perform other related functions that may be assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Graduate of any 4 year degree course.
• With at least 2 years experience in IT fieldwork assignment or repair center.
• Has strong background in IT equipment troubleshooting.
• With adequate knowledge in LAN/WAN set-up, network, hardware, software and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience gained from service company, bank or other financial institution, an advantage.
