Role Overview:
The Assistant to the CEO with a financial modelling background plays a key role in supporting the CEO by providing high-level administrative assistance, strategic analysis, and financial modelling expertise. This position requires a dynamic individual with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial concepts, and the ability to manage complex projects while supporting the CEO’s day-to-day activities. The role combines executive support with data-driven decision-making and financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Executive Support:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the CEO, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel, and handling correspondence.
- Prepare and organize documents, reports, and presentations for meetings, board reports, and strategic discussions.
- Serve as a liaison between the CEO and senior leadership, external stakeholders, and clients.
- Financial Modelling and Analysis:
- Develop, maintain, and refine financial models to support business decisions, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
- Analyze financial data and performance metrics to provide insights on company performance, opportunities, and risks.
- Create financial projections and scenarios to support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and investments.
- Assist the CEO in evaluating business opportunities by providing data-driven insights and financial analysis.
- Strategic Support:
- Assist in the preparation of strategic plans and business cases, ensuring financial feasibility and alignment with overall business goals.
- Conduct market research, industry analysis, and competitive benchmarking to inform strategic decisions.
- Support the CEO in high-level decision-making by preparing analytical reports, financial presentations, and strategic recommendations.
- Project Management:
- Oversee and track key initiatives, ensuring projects stay on schedule and are aligned with organizational priorities.
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.
- Ensure that financial metrics and goals are tracked and reported on regularly.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Prepare briefing materials for the CEO and senior management for internal and external meetings.
- Draft internal and external communications, including presentations to investors, board members, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication across departments to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis and Tasks:
- Assist with ad-hoc financial tasks, including fundraising efforts, financial due diligence, and investor reporting.
- Conduct financial risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Provide support for special projects as required by the CEO.
