INTERNAL CONTROLS IT ANALYST

The Internal Controls IT Analyst will be reporting to the Director of Internal Controls. The Radiant Internal Controls – SOX Compliance Department is a newly formed function which was outsourced previously (up until June 2024). The Internal Controls IT Analyst will be instrumental in assisting the Director of Internal Controls to insource the SOX compliance function and to establish a successful Internal Controls – SOX Compliance Department.

The IT Analyst will utilize established Information Technology General Controls (ITGCs) program frameworks and procedures in supporting the organization and assisting management in meeting the requirements of SOX Sections 302 and 404 compliance including but not limited to performing walkthroughs, testing, and ongoing monitoring. The IT Analyst will engage with other functions across the enterprise such as accounting, finance, and information technology to provide the support.

The IT Analyst is responsible for supporting management in evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes related to ITGCs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Company’s adherence to SOX requirements including Sections 302 and 404 by providing an independent assessment of management’s ITGCs.
• Support the Director of Internal Controls in formulating IT assessment scope, IT assessment planning document(s), Risk and Control Matrix (RCM), and testing procedures document(s) using a risk-based approach in performing ITGC assessments.
• Perform assessments of key IT functions, IT application controls, and key report controls.
• Perform walkthroughs, design/perform/review tests of controls either independently or as part of the team utilizing our integrated IT audit approach of IT application controls.
• Perform Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) testing on new systems.
• Perform Segregation of Duties testing using the company’s methodology.
• Identify risks and recommend controls.
• Present testing issues or findings to the Director of Internal Controls timely.
• Track and verify the implementation of recommendations.
• Foster a culture of excellence, ethics, and professionalism within the Internal Controls Department.
• Establish and maintain relationships with internal IT teams and external IT auditors.
• Assist in ad-hoc projects as needed under the direction of the Director of Internal Controls.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or a related field with emphasis in information systems.
• 3+ years of experience in public accounting or internal audit, with a proven track record of progressively increasing responsibilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written form.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, strong ethics, and professional business conduct.
• Possess a strong understanding of IT controls, frameworks, and best practices.
• Demonstrate excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Clear understanding of SOX 302 and 404 requirements, risk management and compliance.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or CISSP are preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP is preferred.

• Night Shift - 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM PHT (Mondays to Fridays)
