Job Description
The Events and Experiences Expert is a senior professional responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of all events, activations, and experiential marketing initiatives. This role involves a high level of expertise in project management, vendor negotiation, and strategic communication. The expert will lead the creation of a comprehensive event governance playbook and guide to ensure consistent quality and alignment with company objectives. This role requires managing complex projects from conception to post-event analysis.

Job Description
The Events and Experiences Expert is a senior professional responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of all events, activations, and experiential marketing initiatives. This role involves a high level of expertise in project management, vendor negotiation, and strategic communication. The expert will lead the creation of a comprehensive event governance playbook and guide to ensure consistent quality and alignment with company objectives. This role requires managing complex projects from conception to post-event analysis.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Governance:
- Develop and implement an event governance playbook and guide to standardize event processes, best practices, and quality control.
- Work closely with the Events and Experiences Manager and the Events & Experiences Head to map out tasks to implement projects and reach objectives.
- Work with the Events and Experiences Head to ensure all projects and go-to-market executions are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Logistics & Project Management:
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination
- Locate resources, visit sites, and lead pre-event meetings to help staff make decisions about event design.
- Plan and facilitate logistics for all events, including contract negotiations, guest lists, venue preparation, presentation materials, security, catering, entertainment, transportation, equipment, decor, and marketing materials.
- Coordinate for network augmentation needed for events and executions.
- Oversee client experiences from conception through post-event review, managing on-site preparations, production, and event breakdown.
- Ensure consistent, high-level service throughout all phases of the event.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Supervise event promotions, including but not limited to DTI permit applications, creation of key messaging, and cascading information to stakeholders.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive database of industry contacts, vendors, and venues.
- Mentor junior team members on best practices in event coordination and experiential marketing.
- Troubleshooting & Post-Event Analysis:
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise on event day.
- Gather event data and feedback to compile comprehensive post-event summaries and identify areas for improvement.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in events and activations, preferably within a corporate or agency setting.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale events and complex projects from conception to completion.
- A track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
