Position Overview:

The Quoting Specialist will be responsible for supporting the tender quoting process by preparing accurate quotes, performing takeoffs, marking up drawings, and managing documentation using platforms like Simpro and EstimateOne. This role requires strong attention to detail, construction or civil estimating experience, and the ability to work collaboratively with the Australian team.

Key Responsibilities

• Tender Monitoring and Assignment:
• Download scope, plans, and tender documents from EstimateOne as assigned by the Sales Manager.
• Review tender documents to understand project requirements.
• Takeoffs and Drawing Markups:
• Perform initial Bill of Materials (BOM) and takeoffs based on tender documents.
• Create clear and accurate installation markups on drawings using Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Quote Preparation:
• Log new tenders in Simpro and draft quotes using the provided Simpro quoting template.
• Ensure quotes align with project specifications and company standards.
• Documentation and Compliance:
• Collate necessary compliance documentation, including insurance and accreditations.
• Adhere to Australian Standards and company guidelines for all deliverables.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Communicate effectively with the Sales Manager and Australian team via Microsoft Teams.
• Share files and documentation securely via SharePoint.
• Participate in daily reviews, weekly alignment meetings, and monthly performance evaluations.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of quotes, adhering to the QA checklist.
• Incorporate feedback from the Sales Manager to improve quote quality.

What you Need:

Required

• Strong English literacy (written and verbal).
• Background in construction or civil estimating.
• Ability to interpret construction plans and produce clear installation markups.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new software.
  
  

Preferred:

• Experience with Simpro or similar quoting software.
• Familiarity with Australian Standards (training provided).
• Experience with EstimateOne or similar tender management platforms.
