Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and equipment costs.
- Analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify all necessary components and accurately quantify required resources.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure estimates align with project requirements and budgets.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of materials, labour, and equipment pricing.
- Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to the project management team.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings to clarify project details and address estimating concerns.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Project Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, labour, and equipment pricing.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in project data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to use Blue Beam REVU or willing to learn.
- Knowledge/Understanding of Civil & Commercial Projects.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Highly organised with strong time-management skills.
- Proactive approach to identifying efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
