Your Role
The ERP Deployment manager of Sustain & Enhance (DMSE) for Life Science ERP serves as the global business leader for the current Life Science ERP, representing Finance. Reporting to the Finance Business Process Owner Life Science, the DMSE is responsible for advocating and representing overall GES needs and requirements. They collaborate closely with the Finance Lead under the One ERP Program on key design discussions and ERP structure within the Finance workstreams. Additionally, the DMSE works with key stakeholders, such as IT Business Partners and GES Senior Leadership groups, ensuring that enhancement requests and projects are represented, and any risks are mitigated and communicated effectively.
The DMSE also partners with the IT Lead for Finance, focusing on two main areas: tactical ERP enhancements and new deployments using legacy ERP platforms. The Deployment manager of Sustain & Enhance for Life Science ERP develops and leads a virtual team of Business Process Experts (BPE), formerly known as Global Key Users, along with Subject Matter Experts. This team is empowered to act as promoters and key knowledge resources of the global template across all project milestones.
The DMSE ensures that cross-stream and integration topics are aligned and managed effectively. They provide global support and serve as an escalation point for ERP projects and issues, ensuring that resources are available on time and within budget. This role requires exceptional leadership skills and excellent communication abilities. A deep understanding of business is essential to succeed in this pivotal position.

Key Responsibilities
- Supports business prioritization, preparation, harmonization, and implementation of ERP projects within Finance ecosystems with regards to scope, timelines, resources and budget
- Ensures close alignment with GES and local key stakeholders (local business owner and leads) regarding expectations and concerns, status updates, escalations etc.
- Leads and develops a virtual team BPE/Subject Matter Experts
- Ensures smooth business transformation: All key business change impacts have been identified and mitigated in close alignment with the key stakeholders
- Ensures support of the GES organization (including tools and processes)
- Ensures the business process standardization, consistency and process acceptance for template enhancements based on new requirements (keep changes to a minimum)
- Ensures adequate preparation of Fit-to-Standard, Business Acceptance Testing and Validated Testing, Training, Cut-over and Hypercare for large implementation projects
- Manages the annual enhancement budget and prioritizes projects to the maximum the benefit to the organization
- Ensures that issue/service log for incidents are created (with clear role, responsibilities & escalation path)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or a relevant field; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience working in Finance and Conrrolling processes or a related field, with business leadership experience in managing teams.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP systems within the Life Sciences industry
- Previous involvement in initiatives that required the design or definition of business processes/scenarios, value streams, identification of issues, etc.
- Proven track record in managing complex business processes and implementations
- Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and stakeholder management
- Knowledge in APICS and Lean Six Sigma is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze highly complex business processes
- Ability to simplify complex information into clear, actionable insights
- Effective communication skills to work closely with various stakeholders and ensure alignment
- Demonstrated ability to support the strategic design & development of ERP templates & processes
- Expertise in change management, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption during process changes
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- Ability to manage multiple projects & tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Fluent in English, additional foreign language is a plus
