Job Summary:

The Equipment Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all production and facility equipment operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. This role focuses on performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, analyzing equipment performance, and implementing improvements to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, tools, and Maintenance systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.
  • Support and execute equipment calibration, installation, and modification as required.
  • Conduct equipment condition monitoring and recommend predictive maintenance actions.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety standards (LOTO, PPE, 5S) and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and reports in the CMMS.
  • Coordinate with production and engineering teams to schedule and plan maintenance work without disrupting operations.
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive measures for recurring equipment issues.
  • Recommend spare parts and tools needed for maintenance activities and support inventory management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, performance, and lifespan.
  • Provide technical support during machine buy-off, testing, and qualification.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
  • 3–5 years of experience in equipment or machine maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial setup.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical controls, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and repair automated or semi-automated equipment.
  • Familiar with preventive maintenance systems and documentation.
  • Basic knowledge of PLC, sensors, and instrumentation.
  • Familiar with 5S, TPM, and Lean Maintenance practices.
  • Good communication, analytical, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience in CNC machines, robotics, or automated production equipment (depending on industry).
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). is an advantage.
