Your Role

As an Engineering Manager, you will be someone who combines technical expertise, leadership abilities, and strategic thinking. Your role will be pivotal in making Kuehne+Nagel the most trusted supply chain partner supporting a sustainable future. You will be responsible for overseeing engineering teams, projects, and initiatives, acting as a bridge between technical teams and upper management. Your role will ensure that engineering efforts align with business goals.

Your Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and development of software products, guaranteeing value delivery, enhanced productivity, and fostering collaboration across all development teams.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, guidance, and support to teams and their management, nurturing their professional growth and development.
• Orchestrate the hiring processes, evaluating candidates, and building strong and cohesive teams.
• Foster an engineering culture that prioritizes feedback, best practices, cost efficiency, maintainability, and high-quality standards.
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives.
• Retain talent, ensuring team members feel challenged, engaged, and happy in a healthy and positive environment.

Your Skills And Experiences

• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Several years of active experience in IT and a proven track record of leading effective teams for 3+ years
• A keen eye for recruiting great talent
• The ability to be autonomous and own your decisions
• The ambition to grow the company and within the company
• A strong technical sense to challenge Engineers and Products to make the right decisions
• Full professional proficiency in English
