Reporting under the Plant Manager, the Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Engineer (OSHE Engineer) shall oversee all Plant metrics and initiatives related to occupational safety, health and environment, as prescribed in pertinent laws, regulations, standards and company policies. The OSHE Engineer shall manage and report key performance indicators under the function, and provide action plans & strategies in maintaining and improving such metrics.

The OSHE Engineer shall manage and report key performance indicators under the function, and provide action plans & strategies in maintaining and improving such metrics.
Ii. Duties, Responsibilities And Authorities
The Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Engineer shall:
- Consolidate, manage, and synthesize data points and performance metrics related to occupational safety, health, and environment including, but not limited to, incident rates, loss time incidences, water and energy usage ratios, and regulatory compliances as prescribed by the Local Government Unit and executive agencies and branches including but not limited to Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG);
- Create strategies and action plans relevant to occupational safety, health, and environment, and monitor implementation of such action plans; and coordinate such action plans to Department Heads and/or their authorized representatives;
- Champion behavioural-based safety, and conduct necessary and relevant training programs related to increasing awareness, continuous improvements, and enforcing policies related to occupational safety, health, and environment;
- Conduct investigations on violations and incidences related to occupational safety, health, and environment; and prepare reports within the prescribed timelines or as needed.
- Coordinate with Department Heads in implementing policies and internal memorandum related to occupational safety, health, and environment; and alignment with updates on implemented policies and standards related but not limited to EHS Hazard Idenfitication and Risk Assessment, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), HACCP, HALAL, and FSSC;
- Form part of the Internal Audit team and ensure compliance on, established management systems, including but not limited to, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), HACCP, HALAL,FSSC;
- Manage allocation, disbursement, purchasing and liquidation of budget for programs related to occupational safety, health, and environment;
- Provide consultation, coaching and mentoring o items related to occupational safety, health, and environment;
- Represent the organization, as needed, in functional congregations, especially in liaising with Operational Governance and Sustainability Group, and other OSHE Engineers from different URC BCFG Plants;
- Represent the organization, as needed, in dialogues and partnership activities with the Local Government Units and other executive branches on items related to occupational safety, health, and environment;
- Manage, implement and lead execution of programs and processes for emergency preparedness, pollution control, disaster risk management, pandemic or epidemic business continuity plan, and other relevant function;
- Perform other tasks and functions as may be delegated by the Immediate Superior.
- Functional and administrative reporting line as subordinate of Plant Manager
- Coordinates closely with OSHE Group Manager
- Graduate of any engineering course, preferably with license/certification on Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical and Civil Engineering;
- With at least one (1) year of experience in managing and handling occupational safety, health and environment process, in compliance with relevant management systems in the food industry, including but not limited to EHS Management Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), HACCP, HALAL and FSSC, is an advantage;
- Knowledge in pollution control, risk and disaster management, emergency preparedness, and pandemic or epidemic business continuity plan, is an advantage;
- Aptitude in environmental and occupational laws and regulations is an advantage;
- With heightened sense of urgency, organized work patterns, keen to details, and has a good communication, interpersonal and business presentation skills; and
- With proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Teams, at minimum), and SAP; and
- Has a team-player, customer-centric, and innovative work attitude.
