Responsibilities
- Review the available design information and evaluate the best application of deep foundation technology. Majority of projects will be focused on helical piles.
- Check and verify design drawings to conform to the project specifications and design requirements
- Review geotechnical reports and determine engineering parameters for foundation designs Understand and interpret geotechnical investigation reports
- Extract necessary data from reports to properly design and meet foundation requirements Provide structural analysis and design of the elements and connections of the foundation, including piles, caps, pile groups, beams, bolted connections, etc.
- Perform geotechnical analysis for piles using in-house and commercial software, such as LPile, Group and other commercial programs.
- Will handle engineering support.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably Geotechnical Engineer.
- Experience with foundations and screw piles.
- Tools: Will use Finite Element Analysis software (SAP2000) or other related structural design software.
