What is the job?

The Employee and Labor Relations Officer is responsible for developing HR policies, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with Philippine labor laws. This role facilitates administrative hearings, consults with operations teams, and handles coordination with government agencies such as DOLE and NLRC to maintain fair and lawful workplace practices.


Responsibilities:

  • Develops, updates, and implements HR policies and procedures in compliance with Philippine labor laws and company standards.
  • Provides guidance to Operations and Business Unit Managers (BUMs) on employee relations issues, disciplinary actions, and labor compliance.
  • Facilitates administrative hearings and ensures due process is followed in handling employee cases.
  • Represents the company in labor-related proceedings, including coordination with DOLE and NLRC as needed.
  • Monitors and ensures organizational compliance with employment laws and regulatory requirements through regular audits and policy reviews.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Legal Management, or a related field
  • At least 2–4 years of experience in employee relations, labor compliance, or HR policy administration
  • Solid knowledge of Philippine labor laws, DOLE regulations, and NLRC procedures
  • Experience in conducting administrative hearings and preparing related documentation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to consult and coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, BUMs)
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive HR issues
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with HRIS is a plus
  • Preferably with experience representing the company in DOLE inspections or NLRC cases
