Job Description Summary

Cushman & Wakefield are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Lead to oversee and drive EHS initiatives across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies while fostering a strong safety culture. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset and hands-on experience in managing EHS risks across multiple countries within APAC.

Job Description

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement EHS strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with corporate objectives and regional regulatory requirements, ensuring a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international EHS laws and regulations across all APAC operations, working closely with local teams.
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, facilities management, and HR, to integrate EHS principles into daily business activities and strategic decisions.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs to enhance awareness and competency among employees and contractors.
  • Monitor and analyze key EHS performance metrics, providing regular reports to management and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry groups, and partners, to stay updated on EHS trends and best practices.

About You

  • Tertiary level Work Health and Safety or Environment credentials required, minimum Diploma level qualification with equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of EHS experience, with some experience covering multiple APAC countries.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, compliance frameworks, and industry standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc.).
  • Proven ability to implement and manage EHS programs in a complex, multi-country environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in managing contractors and third-party service providers from an EHS perspective.
  • Planning, organising and time management skills to effectively establish the priority and scheduling of work tasks and projects to ensure work priorities are completed on time whilst managing conflicting priorities.
